The University of Melbourne offers Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship for international students. It is a vast scholarship program that sponsors nearly 1,000 students from all countries outside Australia and New Zealand. Interested students can apply for all study areas taught at the university. Selected students can also get free-of-cost education facilities at the university.

The eligible students will get one of the following benefits through the Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship program:
• They will get a tuition fee remission of $10,000 worth during the first year of their undergraduate course
• Eligible students will receive a 50% fee remission for three years of their undergraduate program
• Exceptional students can avail of 100% fee remission for three years of their undergraduate degree

The Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship is available for international students of all nationalities. Only students from Australia and New Zealand cannot apply for this funding program.
Eligibility Criteria
Students can apply for the Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship after fulfilling these requirements:
• They must be citizens of any country except Australia and New Zealand. The permanent residents of Australia are also ineligible for this program.
• The students must have completed their education from outside Australia. However, alumni of the Foundation Program in Australia are eligible for this scholarship.
• This scholarship is only for those students who receive an unconditional offer from the University of Melbourne for any undergraduate course.
• Only fresh students with no previous tertiary education can apply for this scholarship.
• The scholarships will be awarded according to the academic results of students in prior classes. Minimum marks or grades required to qualify for these scholarships can be seen in the section “Level of Study.”
The following are the minimum scores that students need to achieve in the results of their respective exams:
• Minimum of 98% marks in the Australian Foundation Studies
• A minimum score of 42 in International Baccalaureate (IB) at a secondary school outside Australia
• At least 97% score in Canada Secondary Schools
• At least 95% of overall result in the Indian Secondary Schools
The minimum requirement is higher for secondary school systems of other countries also. You can contact the university for the minimum score required in the educational system of your country.
How to Apply
There is no separate procedure to apply for the Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship. International students applying for undergraduate courses at the University of Melbourne are automatically registered for this program if they fulfill the eligibility criteria.
Number of Awards
The Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarships are available for nearly 1,000 international students. There is no restriction on the number of awards for any country, and it is based on prior performance.
Last Date of Submission
